Audrina Patridge Biography
New entrant to showbiz Audrina Cathleen Patridge is already making headway on film and television while still in her mid-twenties, she goes by the stage name Audrina Patridge and she hails from Placentia, California, USA where she was born on May 9 1985.
Patridge gained fame in Hollywood for her role in television series that portrayed the lives of young inhabitants of the socially active California County, the roles which depicted a life not so different from her real one in California begun in the year 2005. Growing up Patridge did not miss the fame and glamour of the film and fashion capital that is California and her ambition was to be a model appearing on the high profile magazines she saw or to be an actress on stage next to the beautiful actresses and actors of Hollywood.
She was raised by her parents Mark and Lynn Patridge in the leafy suburbs of Yorba Linda, California, like a typical California teenager her time was spent hanging out at social events and parties graced by celebrities from the region. On completing her high school education Patridge refused to join college instead opting to move out of her parent’s house to an apartment in Los Angeles where she begun to audition for upcoming films while attending one casting call to another in the hopes of getting signed to a modelling agency. After a while there was nothing forthcoming and she took up a job as an assistant in a Los Angeles recording label, meanwhile she continued to wait for a breakthrough in her career.
In 2005 Patridge was referred by friends to the producers of an upcoming series that would continue with the success of the MTV produced Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County, she quickly went for the auditions and on seeing her the producers were impressed with her looks casting her alongside the show’s previous stars Lauren Conrad and Heidi Montag. The show was titled The Hills and it went on to air in 2005. Patridge’s career immediately rose with this debut act the media went on an all-out frenzy to find out more about the new star and converted sex symbol. This digging up by the media produced shocking nude pictures of the star taken years before. A buzz of attention followed Patridge and rumours of her being kicked out of The Hills begun to surface these were however proven false as the actress stayed on for six seasons until the series end in 2010.
Still on The Hills Patridge appeared for other television roles in MAD TV as a two-episode guest in 2008, Do Not Disturb also in 2008 for a guest role, Family Guy in 2009 for one episode and Dancing with the Stars in 2010 where she exited after six episodes.
Patridge also has a career in film and in 2009 she was featured for a debut role in Into the Blue 2: The Reef, this was followed by the role of Megan Blair in the highly publicized teen movie Sorority Row. In 2011 Patridge’s film credits are in Honey 2 Melinda and Take Me Home Tonight.
