Barack Obama Biography
Looking at Barack Obama’s life gives an image of a perfect intelligent child that did everything right, got the best grades, learnt and practised the best morals and it is therefore no surprise that he ended up as one of the most powerful men in the modern world. Elite parents Barack Obama Senior and Ann Dunham bore their only child on August 4 1961 in Honolulu, Hawaii, USA. The child was named Barack Hussein Obama Junior and he grew up to be the first dark-skinned president of the United States of America.
Obama was a bright student at school and showed a great deal of commitment that kept him at the top of his class. He was schooled at ivy-league schools including Harvard, Columbia University and Occidental College. He was raised in Hawaii by his grandparents after his parents went separate ways. Being of mixed heritage and growing up in a foreign country Obama was often a victim of racism and so to forget about his pain he resorted to drugs and alcohol. Obama luckily quit the habit before it ruined his life and he became involved in the church.
After elementary school Obama relocated to Chicago, Illinois and took up a community service job to support himself through college. By then his leadership talent was beginning to grow and he was vocal about the needs and rights of the Chicago community despite the risk of being a black man in a racist environment.
Obama’s background in law and political science saw him get through to the senate office and he represented his Chicago home state for a record eight years between 1997 and 2004. He stayed below the limelight until 2007 when he declared that he would be in competition for the Oval Office.
It is from here that the world turned to the US, it was a worldwide revolution that was reminiscent of the Martin Luther era. He single-handedly turned masses all over the world to support his cause for a new America. His youthful personality and down to earth personality won the hearts of many all over the world and suddenly it was good to be black.
Obama won the primary elections and campaigned with Joe Biden for the presidency. His win over the general elections united the world in support of the new movement to equality of all races in leadership. Billions watched his swearing in as the new leader of the US and many more were present at the ceremony.
His win is by far the most amazing fete of recent history.
Together with his family Obama is one of the most loved personalities of today and his hip style and energy has enabled him to easily relate with the young. His economic intellect is set to revolutionise the American market and his straight forward way of dealing with issues immediately as with the Guantanamo Prison closure has put faith in the hearts of his supporters.
Obama is a father of two and he is married to equally popular Michelle Obama. The president’s favourite pastime is playing basketball.
