Bobby Brown Biography
Robert Barisford Brown, stage name Bobby Brown takes up many roles in entertainment. He works as a singer, an actor, a songwriter, and a dancer. Brown has had a long standing career that has spanned over 33 years starting in 1978. He was born on February 5 1969 in Roxbury, Massachusetts, USA.
From the time he was young Brown held a fascination for music, often he would come up with written compositions that would be transformed into lyrics with beats. Throughout his education brown knew that his calling was to be on stage and no matter the number of academic credential s that he got it would never be enough without making it big in the music industry. So to make his dream come to pass Brown took a group of friends from his middle school and he joined them to form the band New Edition. Form the late 70’s decade to the mid 80’s Brown entertained masses along with the band. The popularity of brown and New Edition grew so rapidly and this resulted in a lot of tension within the group.
In 1986, New Edition decided to part ways as the interests of each of the members caused a disagreement within the whole band. Brown decided to try his hand at a solo music career. Brown collaborated with MCA to release a couple of hit singles. These included ‘Don’t Be Cruel’, ‘Every Little Step’, ‘My Prerogative’, and ‘Roni’. Following this collaboration, the album King of Stage peaked in international charts as fans voted for the singles. A few months into the release of the debut album and it was certified platinum eight times over.
Following album releases by the singer were titled Dance! Ya Know It! Bobby, Forever and the artist is set to release a fifth album at an undisclosed date. Another of the albums that Brown is working on is for the band Heads of State. In the band Brown works with two of his former colleagues from the band New Edition. In addition to recording, Heads of State are greatly loved by audiences as can be seen by their sold out audiences around the world.
Another of the many passions that Brown has is acting. Some of his films have been Krush Groove, Ghostbusters II, His Prerogative, Mother Goose Rock 'N' Rhymes, Bobby Brown: Humpin' Around Making of the Video, Bobby Brown: Bobby Played, Panther, A Thin Line Between Love and Hate, Two Can Play That Game, Go For Broke, Gang of Roses, Nora's Hair Salon, and Nora's Hair Salon II. Throughout his career, Brown has been followed by reports of his alleged drug abuse. Together with Whitney Houston, the pair has been known to engage in taking illegal drugs like cocaine. At one time Brown was on front page headlines after it emerged that he had hit Whitney Houston, it was said that the incident had happened when Brown was intoxicated. Brown has also had a string of legal issues that have threatened his career.
