Ciara Biography
For many Ciara is the epitome of beauty adored by male fans all over the world and female fans would want nothing more than to possess a physique that is equal to the 25 year old, her moves in music videos have left many wondering how anyone could be so talented and other male dancers like Usher and Chris Brown have had to welcome the new female dancer as well as actress, model and record producer with much respect. With her name hitting showbiz headlines for only nine years the Austin, Texas, USA born girl has risen to the ranks of stardom, she was born Ciara Princess Harris on October 25 1985.
Inspired by music stars she often watched on television Ciara decided from early on that hers would be a career behind the microphone, she started singing in the choir and in school musicals. The young girls for the art was however subject to numerous barriers as her father, Carlton Harris drove the family to a constant change of homes as the demands of being in the army required him to change barracks from time to time. This meant that the young girl’s childhood was filled with many goodbyes to opportunities and loved ones soon after she had settled in a new neighbourhood. With a demanding career Ciara was left to rely on her mother, Jackie Harris to support her childhood dream.
While at the Riverdale High School in Riverdale, Georgia Ciara joined the group Hearsay where she began to sing for locals in her hometown, a life on the road turned advantageous as during her family’s movements she would tour with the all-girl singing group to concerts around the US. This continued from 2003 to 2004 when she went solo with the release of a debut album titled Goodies, this included names like Sean Garrett, Keri Hilson, R. Kelly and Lil Jon among others. Soon after Goodies hit the airwaves Ciara’s songs became club favourites and her song writing skills as well as her vocals were greatly praised, fans across the world bought out the album in the millions and Goodies was rated multi-platinum.
Following albums by Ciara are Ciara: The Evolution released in 2006, Fantasy Ride in 2009 and the latest is Basic Instinct debuted in 2010. Her music is attributed to maturing as a person and as an artist and the latest release featured a new image of the star with stunning dance moves and a stunning body toned to perfection.
She is famous for singles like ‘Promise’, ‘Like a Boy’, ‘Love Sex Magic’, ‘Ride’ and ‘1, 2 Step’. She has worked with a mix of artists from around the world like Enrique Iglesias, Pitbull, Chamillionare and Usher.
Ciara’s music blends hip hop, dance, pop and RnB music styles. She drew inspiration from the former girl group Destiny’s Child and the late king of pop Michael Jackson, also one of her favourites is icon Janet Jackson who is her one time collaborator in a 2008 album project by the older singer titled Discipline.
Ciara’s humanitarian work includes raising funds towards finding a cure for cancer.
