Eminem Biography
October 17th 1992, Kansas City, Missouri in the United States of America saw the rise of the most sensational rap artists ever to grace the world of rap. Many of his fans address Marshall Bruce III as ‘slim shady’ or eminem. His mother was pregnant by him when she was only fifteen years old and his father never assumed his responsibilities as a father. This made life very difficult for the Marshal Bruce. His mother moved him from one state to another and when he was twelve years old, they landed in Detroit, USA and that is where he grew up most of his childhood.
His debut songs were mainly about his hardships and how difficult it was to raise a daughter when he was still young and struggling to make it. There are two brothers namely Mark Bass and Jeff Bass who own a recording studio, the ‘Bassmint recorded the first songs of eminem, of the album ‘infinite’. This was the album that made him choose his style as a rapper. This was the discovering album, the feedback he got was that he sounded more like Nas and he knew it was high time he got his own style. This album is best described as an eye opener.
Between 1997 and 1999, the discovery period of the slim shady began. This is when he released the album called, ‘slims shady LP’. This was the time when he decided to use music to be an escape goat from his very sad life. His album was so good in that he got a standing ovation from the ‘Billboard Magazine’ the magazine deemed him as a person who used his painful circumstances to create a name for himself. A recording studio called the ‘Aftermath interscope Records’. This album that was considered to be platinum had songs like, ‘crack a bottle and old times sakes’, that became extremely popular and made Marshall Bruce III have even more fans.
For the few people who do not recognize him as a rapper who won at least ten Grammy awards, then they most definitely as an actor of the movie, ‘8 miles’. Many people have a misunderstanding about this one particular movie it is not the life of the slim shady on screen, but rather a vivid representation of how life in a place like Detroit would be. The movie does not necessity portray his life, he just used his experience of being brought up in Detroit to relay the message more clearly.
Just like any other celebrity, his social life has not been on a clean slate. He came clean with the public and told them about his dependence on drugs that were prescribed. He checked himself in a rehabilitation facility several times in order to curb his problem of addiction to drugs. His marriage to his long time girlfriend dating back to high school collapsed twice, on the June 14th 1999, marked the first divorcie to Kimberly Ann Scott. The second divorce was on the January the 14th 2004. Both marriages lasted for two years and within all that time they made a beautiful girl together on the 25th of December 1995.
