Jessica Biel Biography
Kimberly Conroe and Jonathan Biel had no idea where their daughter Jessica Claire Biel, also known as Jessica Biel, had gotten the interest in arts since no one in her family or close relatives had taken to it or shown any interest, still they tried their best to guide young Biel as she explored her somewhat rare talent. Biel was born on March 3 1982 in Ely, Minnesota, USA and she ventured into a double career in modelling and acting in 1996.
Hers was an active childhood as she took part in almost all school activities from sports to dancing, singing and acting, Biel was schooled at the Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts and before she had trained at The International Modeling and Talent Association in Los Angeles, California.
As a child Biel loved attention and whenever her family or any other visitors gathered at her home she would take to showing off in a pretend fashion show, this became a frequent affair as with her mother’s religious affiliation the family home would entertain regular guests from the local church.
Biel’s parents were very supporting of her and they even allowed her to venture into professional modelling before she was ten years old, her first gigs were in televised campaigns and billboard pictures for various companies. This child celebrity did not stop there as she took up roles in plays and Broadway musicals like The Sound of Music, Beauty and the Beast, and Annie.
Minnesota offered limited opportunities and so after her 12th birthday the Biel family relocated to Los Angeles, California in a move to expose their daughter to the active entertainment scene there. The first roles for Biel were in less publicised films like I'll Be Home for Christmas and Ulee's Gold, by the end of the 90’s Biel remained unknown to the world but this did not deter her as she kept on with the search for that one production that would be her big break.
The big break came in 1998 when she signed a long-term contract to appear in seven episodes for a family drama series titled 7nth Heaven, in the show Biel’s character was Mary Camden and the story-line revolved around a pastor’s large family and the challenges he underwent together with his wife and children as they tried to maintain a respectable Christian life despite the challenges of teenage hood experienced by the children. 7nth Heaven was aired until 2005.
Biel has also achieved success in films like Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Blade: Trinity, Home of the Brave, Planet 51, Easy Virtue and Powder Blue.
Biel hit tabloid headlines in 2008 when nude pictures of her begun circulating in the media, she had taken the shots for a magazine with the idea of boosting her career with the publicity but this turned out to be a wrong move that almost cost her hard earned career.
Biel’s looks have not gone unnoticed and she was featured on FHM magazine in 2009 as one of 100 sexiest women, she also appeared on a similar list on Stuff magazine in 2007 as well as in Maxim magazine also in 2007.
