Kaley Cuoco Biography
Kaley Cuoco began her career as a child actor soon after she was born featuring in commercials for companies as well as campaigns to promote their products. At the time hers was a multiple career that saw her not only auditioning for film roles but also competing in kid’s modelling contests as well as representing her schools in tennis championships. Her supportive parents Layne Ann Wingate and Gary Carmine Cuoco took their daughter to any casting call they heard about and even with several turndowns they persisted and waited in long lines with the hope that maybe the next audition would be the winning one. The young triple talent got a big break in acting in ‘Quicksand: No Escape’ in 1991, the film faired relatively well and in turn it gave Cuoco little publicity on the media.
Born Kaley Christine Cuoco on Nov. 30th 1985 in Camarillo, California, USA, she reached stardom with the 2000 film ‘Growing Up Brady’ as Maureen McCormick, the film was an instant hit and the unknown girl became a celebrity, admired by many for her skills in front of the camera as well as for her striking looks. 2005 was also a good year for Cuoco after she premiered the role of Bridget Hennessy in the television series titled ‘8 Simple Rules’, her role was seen as a teen with the perfect life of popularity and boys all around her. The series was a favourite with teens who identified with Bridgets in their everyday lives.
Cuoco’s streak of success on film series continued with the 2006 role of Billie Jenkins in the show called ‘Charmed’, the show was set on a story line of three beautiful sisters who possessed superpowers and lived a challenging yet interesting life of fighting demons on other all under the nose of ‘commoners’ who did not have the powers. In 2009 Cuoco appeared on yet another popular series ‘Prison Break’ alongside Wentworth Miller among other stars, her role was not permanent as she appeared on only two episodes as a guest actress.
She is the lead actress in the 2007 comedy titled ‘The Big Bang Theory’, in the series Cuoco plays the role of Penny, a friend and neighbour to four nerds who have spent most of their lives behind research books and therefore possess no social skills whatsoever. She becomes close to them despite their many differences since Penny is an outgoing young girl working in a local diner. After the series pilot show Cuoco became a sex symbol as many wanted to be associated with the blonde sexy look she took on in the show.
Cuoco has had several film roles to her name in the 2000’s decade and they include ‘Bratz: Passion 4 Fashion’ as Diamondz Kirstee Smith, Amanda in ‘Cougar Club’, Erica Roc in ‘The Penthouse’, Blanca Champion in ‘Killer Movie’, Katie Cooning in ‘Wasted’ and Samantha O'Hare in ‘Hop’.
The latest roles in yet to be premiered films ‘The Last Ride’ and ‘The Bedroom Window’, both films will be show in the box office in 2011 and 2012 respectively.
