Kerry Katona Biography
The early life of Kerry Jayne Elizabeth Katona was sad and it saw the actress, otherwise known as Kerry Katona, face her most trying moments at a young age. Sue Katona bore her daughter on September 6 1980 in Warrington, Cheshire, England, UK and from then her tragic story was set in motion. It all started with an absentee father and a mother who failed in her responsibilities to Katona. Young Katona really never had a place she could call home as before she could settle down she was thrown off to one relative, then another until her kin wanted no more of her and the cycle was repeated. This time the difference was that it was a move from one foster home to the next.
She briefly attended the Padgate High School in Warrington, Cheshire but was forced to leave just like with her previous schools, her constant movement made her search for education difficult and so she quit school completely.
Her life as a teenager was sad and she grew up with feelings of being unloved and unwanted. As a budding woman she lost her self-esteem, was isolated and lonely and out of desperation she finally ventured into the unknown of the underworld business. She fed herself by selling off her body to any drunk and foul smelling man who could pay her wages.
After a 1999 stint with the girl band Atomic Kitten, Katona appeared in the 2004 celebrity reality show ‘I Am a Celebrity.. Get Me Outa Here!’ where she was crowned the series winner. The show was about celebrities who had to live together in one house, voting each other out until only one was left. She decided to take up television roles as they were more of a fit than film roles.
In 2005 she played on the drama series ‘Showbands’ , the series was a success and for her part she was highly approved and went on to acquire a growing fan base. The success of the series saw Katona approached by MTV for a project to showcase her life as a celebrity. Filming for the project begun in 2007 with ‘Kerry Katona: Crazy In Love and followed her fresh marriage to Brian McFadden. The series aired until 2009 and included ‘Kerry Katona: What's the Problem?’ and ‘Kerry Katona: Whole Again’ .
Through the series Katona’s life received a lot of media glare that resulted in a string of controversies. Pictures of the actress nude were leaked to the media and created a buzz around her. Questions of her morality as a mother were forwarded and she was much criticised by her disappointed fans. After came images of the actress smoking what was later revealed as cocaine. Her drug used was linked to depression after a failed marriage to McFadden who was also the father to the actress’ children. Her out of a movie hostage incident in 2007 at her house left Katona badly shaken up and she lost valuables estimated to be worth thousands of dollars.
She was put on a medical watch after shock from the incident left her gravely ill. Her MTV shows received high ratings after audiences got to see the actress first hand as she has a boob job to increase her breast size.
