Kimberly Wyatt Biography
At only 29 years and barely a decade old in the entertainment industry, Kimberly Kaye Wyatt, alias Kimberly Wyatt has made careers in singing, modelling, dancing, acting and song writing. This American star was born on February 4 1982 in Warrensburg, Missouri, USA Wyatt was educated at the Joffrey Ballet School in New York and the Broadway Dance Center also in New York.
Wyatt’s childhood experiences were harsh dangerous as she was often left to fend for herself after her parents had gone off to engage in active social lives that always ended with late hours and coming home drunk if they even made it there. Young Wyatt had to grow up faster than her peers and when many of them were thinking of where they would be spending time after school she was contemplating how she would go and raise money for a meal after school.
During one of her attempts to raise income for survival she was attacked by one of her employees who then took advantage of the teenager, although the incident was reported to her parents nothing was done to the attacker and a one-time occurrence soon turned into a regular happening. With no other option but to keep working Wyatt moved to another job where she was an entertainer for high profile cruise ship travellers. The job entailed dancing at the ship’s bar where most of the clients’ demands were exploitative to Wyatt who at the time was barely of legal age.
Wyatt found solace in dance which she took time to engage in at her ballet school in 2003 she auditioned to appear in a music video for the song ‘Shut Up’ by the Black Eyed Peas, after being shortlisted as one of the dancers she went on to feature in the video. This appearance opened doors for her to enter into showbiz, a manager of an upcoming all girl group spotted the talented Wyatt and after looking for her he signed her along with the likes of Nicole Scherzinger for the Pussy Cat Dolls.
From 2003 Wyatt rose to fame with the singing and dance group and she achieved fame with Pussy Cat Dolls hit singles like ‘Don't Wanna Fall in Love’ and ‘'Whatcha Think About That', she continued with the role of a minor vocalist and dancer in the group until 2009. During her stay at the Dolls Wyatt’s popularity rose and her vocals as well as her looks were put under constant scrutiny by the media. Together with the other Dolls she became a sex symbol and gathered a cult following of fans that were taken by her looks and the image of an all sexy girl group.
The success was however not lacking of difficulties as Wyatt felt under-utilised and restricted so in 2010 she left to form her own independent band named Her Majesty & The Wolves, with her new venture she has released singles like ‘Candy’, ‘Not Just a Doll’, ‘Stars In Your Eyes’, and a debut album by Her Majesty & The Wolves is expected in 2011.
Wyatt’s music blends pop, dance and electronica styles.
