Kristen Bell Biography
Kristen Anne Bell easily remains popular as the fearless teen detective in the 2004 hit series Veronica Mars taking the lead role she entertained masses for a consecutive 64 episodes making this act her career breakthrough in the world of entertainment. Although known by the professional name Kristen Bell, she retained her original name from July 18 1980 after her birth to Lorelei and Tom Bell in Huntington Woods, Michigan, USA until 1992 with her debut appearance in theatre.
Much like many of established Hollywood actors and actresses Bell had her first shot at acting in Broadway shows and films she was begging her single mother for permission to take up roles in theatre productions from as early as four years. Bell was schooled at the Burton Elementary school in Huntington Woods, Catholic High School in Royal Oak, and the Tisch School of the Arts affiliated to New York University. Throughout her school life there is no role that Bell passed and every opportunity to appear on stage was immediately taken on, becoming a celebrity and the most popular girl in her high school she went on to cast in plays like The Wizard of Oz, Fiddler on the Roof, Li'l Abner, and Lady Be Good.
At the Tisch School of the Arts Bell took on musical theatre and continued with her performing trend from high school, at the arts institution Bell appeared in the lead role in The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, the musical remake of the book and film. Breaking into film in 2001 Bell began a life away from college with and appearance in the low profile movie Pootie, this was to become a first in a series of films that would spurn the new actress into a full blown career. During the period from 2001 to 2003 Bell was cast in the films and television series like People Are Dead, The Cat Returns, American Dreams, The Shield and The O'Keefes.
The actress continued with acts in Everwood, The King and Queen of Moonlight Bay, Gracie's Choice, Spartan, and Deadwood, despite having a couple of lead roles to her name it was not until 2004 with the coming of the series Veronica Mars that Bell received worldwide acclamation. Taking on the lead role in the series that chronicled the adventures of the teen daughter to a town sheriff, Bell became one of the most watched stars on television with teenagers around the world following her four year stint until the series finale in 2007. In the show Bell’s character was seen fighting through crimes committed by close friends and family and trying to solve the murder of her best friend while still trying to live the normal life of any other teenager.
With the success and fame of Veronica Mars Bell went on to have more roles in 2007 in Flatland: The Movie, in the popular drama series Heroes from 2007 to 2008 and in 2007 she was also cast for an off screen role in yet another popular series titled Gossip Girl.
In 2010 Bell acted in the films You Again, Burlesque and Movie 43, 2011 will see the actress in box offices for Scream 4 and Dance of the Mirlitons. In 2012 she will be seen in the film Everybody Loves Whales.
