The name Marylin Monroe is widely known and it raises questions with every mention and it remains one of the greatest real life stories that leave on with a chill. Monroe’s life details often comprise of different sets of theories each holding onto the claim of authenticity. Starting with basic information as her father’s true identity and how, who, why and what caused her unexpected demise. It was on June 1 1926, in Los Angeles, California, USA that Norma Jean Mortenson Baker was sired to Gladys and Edward Morteson.

Hers is a story of breakthrough from the most difficult childhood imaginable to stardom and legendary success. She was wed at a tender age not out of want or love but out of a desperate need to survive and get out of the cycle of orphanages and foster families that characterised her young life. An absentee father and a mentally ill mother was all young Norma needed to add on to her already miserable life.

After casual jobs at a manufacturing plant Norma set out to be a model dropping her birth name and adopting Marylin Monroe as her limelight name. She modelled until the early 50’s when she got into acting. Monroe went on to become a success in the movies and her successful provocative roles and gorgeous body earned her more contracts to appear in films. Some of her films include ‘The Seven Year Itch’, ‘How to marry a Millionaire’, ‘Gentlemen Prefer Blondes’ and ‘Bustop’. At the time she was working under 20th Century Fox Cinemas before moving briefly to Columbia Records.

Monroe’s success was unlike any ever seen on the big screens and awards for her performances brought in award after award from countries outside the US. Magazines and tabloids were fighting to feature her on their publications and her songs were on high demand at big events all over the world.

Her roles in the 50’s decade led to the formation of the Marylin Monroe Productions in 1957, a film company that was responsible for many platinum movies.

She is famous for her nude pictures and barely-there clothing that often left very little to imagination. As a result she received attention not only from her fans but also from celebrities some of which she was married to in a string of short-lived marriages. Just like her mother Monroe was involved in heavy drug use which ruined her career in entertainment.

The actress amassed billions of dollars from her career and from divorce settlements from her wealthy spouses. She left no children behind.

Though dead for close to five decades Marylin Monroe remains just as famous as present day artists, if not more. She paved way for many of today’s successful musicians and actors and many look up to her as a figure of strength and inspiration.
Her life of glamour was reverted to miseries almost similar as those of her childhood and she lost her life to an overdose that was never proven whether intentional of inflicted.
