Rihanna Biography
Robyn Rihanna Fenty most popularly known as Rihanna was born in St. Michael Barbados. She was born on February 20th 1988. Rihanna has two bothers called Rajad Fenty and Rorrel Fenty, and she is the older sibling. She tried her hand at modeling before her music career and was crowned miss Comber-mere in 2004. Music producer Evan Rodgers was impressed by her talent and after a while, together with his wife took her in at their residence in Stamford, Connecticut. During her time there, she attended school and during the summer break, she recorded music.
Her first single ‘pon de replay’ led in the music charts and also got her noticed by music legends like Jay Z who signed her to his music company. He took her under his wing and because of this every song that she has released has been a smash hit. She has collaborated with former boyfriend Chris Brown in the song, ‘umbrella remix’. She has done music collaboration with Jay Z the song, ‘Run This Town’ and also collaborated with TI in the song, ‘Live your Life’. Her latest collaboration is with Drake, in the song ‘What’s My Name’. This was after her album, ‘Music of the Sun’, and during the release of her album, ‘Good Girl Gone Bad’.
Her life faced a turmoil that left her traumatized and gave her pity press on 18th of February. This was the time her present ex boyfriend assaulted her. She reported the assault to the authorities but she was not intending on taking her ex lover to court until she was subpoenaed by the courts to testify to the assault. This was triggered when pictures that were taken when she reported the assault was leaked to the press. Chris Brown pleaded guilty to the charges against him and because of this, he received probation sentence for five years and was not to get fifty yards closer to Rihanna and ten yards if they were at an event.
Music divas like, Alicia Keys, Beyonce’ Knowles and Mariah Carrey are her major music inspirations which could explain the success. Kate Perry is one of her favorite friends. Eleven million albums is the number of albums that have been sold globally. Fashion shows send a lot of money on her so that she can occupy the seats at the front she gets paid the best.
It was once rumored that she had a falling out with her close friend, Katy Perry because she did not attend her friends wedding. Katy Perry on the other cleared these allegations and said that she understood that Rihanna’s album launch and tour took a lot out of her and that is why she missed the wedding. And Rihanna on the other hand was very apologetic, and deeply relayed her regrets.
