Ryan Reynolds Biography
When James and Tammy Reynolds had their son Ryan Rodney Reynolds on October 23 1976 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada they had no way of knowing that he would became very successful and famous as Ryan Reynolds, the actor. Brought up in a strict home Reynolds attended the Kitsilano Secondary School in Vancouver in 1994 and the Kwantlen College, Vancouver but school was never for him as he performed poorly and often landed in trouble with the school’s administration for skipping classes. In the end Reynolds stopped attending school all together as he set out to make a career on film.
After several failed auditions Reynolds premiered into the Canadian and American film markets in 1991, mainly as a teen-movie actor. The first role as breakthrough into stardom for Reynolds was in a daytime sitcom called ‘Fifteen’, the series was a low profile production but it managed to spot as a teen favourite in the UK and US television channels.
Reynolds continued in other successful teen productions in the early 90’s like ‘Sabrina the Teenage Witch’, and ‘My Name is Kate’, his popularity rose even more with the former film and more offers for film roles came as directors tried to cash his popularity on their films. Reynolds then took up various roles including Ben Colson in ‘When Friendship Kills’, Booby Rupp in ‘In Cold Blood’, Wade Early in ‘Tourist Trap’ and the role of Henry Lipschitz in ‘Coming Soon’ closed the actor’s roles in the decade.
The actor’s most successful film appearance yet is in the action thriller ‘X-Men Origins: Wolverine’ which went to the box office in 2009. Although a different direction from the actor’s usual comedy roles the film was extremely well received by enthusiastic crowds eager to see the sex god on film. Audiences fell in love with Reynolds’ ease and how natural he played, this translated into high reviews for the film. Reynolds’ role was titled Deadpool and he is set to feature in a production titled the same.
Other film credits to the actor include ‘Buying the Cow’, ‘Finder’s Fee’, ‘The In-laws’, ‘Foolproof’, ‘smokin’Aces’, ‘Blade: Trinity’ and ‘Waiting’. In the 2000’s he also appeared on ‘Harold & Kumar Go to the Castle’, ‘Amityville’, ‘School of Life’, ‘Just friends’ and ‘Chaos Theory’ among others. In the 2004 film ‘Blade: Trinity’ Reynolds co-starred with Wesley snipes and Jessica Biel. The film was very successful as it rode of the fame of its predecessor Blade sequels mainly starred by Wesley snipes. For his role in this action packed film Reynolds had to take intensive combat classes.
Reynolds has had high profile relationships throughout his career and he is romantically linked to names like those of actress Scarlett Johansson and singer Alanis Morissette.
The actor has a massive following of female fans who gather in thousands at all his public showings, Reynolds has a record featuring on People Magazine for a three time consecutive appearance in 2008, 2009 and 2009 as one of the magazine’s Sexiest Men Alive.
Reynolds is currently filming for a high profile high budget film that will premiere in 2011, the film’s title is ‘Rest in Peace’ and will feature the actor as Nick Cruz.
