Spencer Pratt Biography
Some have compared Spencer William Pratt, alias Spencer Pratt, to Paris Hilton. And such people are right to do so this is because both are television personalities who have mad fame not for their talents on screen but because of who they know. 27 year old Pratt was born on August 14 1983 in Los Angeles, California, USA. Growing up, he lived a life of luxury and was privileged enough to share a suburb with some of Hollywood’s finest. From here he was able to make friends with the kids of top Hollywood celebrities and this is how he was able to make it to the limelight.
Together with his sister Patricia, Pratt enjoyed a life like that of any other celebrity kid. During his teen years, Pratt developed a close relationship with Brandon and Brody Jenner these brothers were kids to famous personality Bruce Jenner. Being a successful Olympic athlete, Bruce Jenner lived much like any other film or music celebrity and his lifestyle drew the attraction of television producers. In 2005, MTV approached Bruce Jenner on a deal that would see his sons cast in a reality television show. The show would focus on the socialite lives of the two brothers and how they handled everyday life in the rich suburbs.
On accepting the deal, The Princes of Malibu went on air in 2005 this is how Pratt first became known to American audiences. Seeing that he was a close friend to the brothers, Pratt was often featured on the television series as he hung out with his buddies. Before long Pratt became an almost permanent cast member of the series and his popularity rose. Aside from appearing in front of the screens Pratt also took on the role of managing his friend’s, Brody Jenner’s career. MTV decided to exploit the friendship between the pair and in 2006 they cast Pratt in the highly rated television series The Hills.
Along with the other co-stars, the life of Pratt was put on camera every single day and this made him more known to fans. Even better was when he developed a romantic relationship with Heidi Montag who at the time was involved with Lauren Conrad also from The Hills. During this time there was a lot of tension on the series as cast members were not getting along. This turmoil pushed up viewer ratings for The Hills and along with this came more publicity for Pratt. Following a rocky dating period Pratt and Montag got engaged and they eloped to get married in 2009. Their vows were later repeated in front of family and friends in 2010.
MTV kept on featuring Pratt and his new wife Montag, the couple was asked to appear in yet another reality show that was titled I Am A Celebrity..Get Me Outa Here!. At first Pratt received a lot of negative reviews but on returning to the show audiences were able to give him another chance. From having a near divorce with Montag in 2010 to being declared bankrupt in the same year, Pratt continues to enjoy publicity, both negative and positive.
